Maintenance Technician

Elwood Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Longview, TX! Monday-Thursday 5am-4pm $25-30/hr DOE

Maintenance Technician Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $25.00 to $30.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Thursday from 05:00am to 04:00pm )

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment
• Grease, lubricate, and service machines according to manufacturer specifications
• Install and troubleshoot air piping and compressed air systems
• Set up tooling and adjust fixtures on production equipment
• Check voltages and perform basic electrical troubleshooting using a multimeter
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues
• Assist with Point of Control (POC) troubleshooting if experienced or escalate when needed
• Accurately maintain maintenance records and logs
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce equipment downtime
• Manage and perform regular maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs for company trucks and trailers
• Schedule and coordinate third-party service or inspections as needed for fleet vehicles
• Ensure all DOT, safety, and maintenance standards are met for transportation equipment

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant mechanical or electrical maintenance experience, or equivalent technical education
• Exposure to PLC/POC systems or willingness to learn basic troubleshooting

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
