Content Strategist & Copywriter | Downtown Frederick, MD | Full-time | On-site | $64,000 - $78,000 per Year About the Role We're looking for a Content Strategist & Copywriter who can turn complex business knowledge into marketing that connects, builds trust, and drives action. This is a role for someone who enjoys uncovering what customers actually care about, developing messaging that resonates, and creating content that performs across multiple channels. You'll work closely with SEO, paid media, and design specialists, helping transform strategy into compelling content. One day you may be interviewing a client to uncover their unique perspective. The next, you could be crafting website copy, writing a landing page, developing social content, or creating a print campaign. This is a role where strong writing and strategic thinking carry equal weight. If you're naturally curious, comfortable with AI tools, and passionate about creating content that delivers results, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. What You'll Do Messaging & Strategy Develop positioning and messaging for client brands, campaigns, and marketing initiatives Build content around audience insights, personas, and market realities Create compelling narratives that strengthen trust and encourage action Maintain consistent brand voice across channels and content types Content & Copywriting Write high-impact content for websites, landing pages, blogs, and social media Develop advertising copy across digital and traditional channels Create print and marketing materials including direct mail, outdoor advertising, and promotional collateral Support content publishing and scheduling as needed Discovery & Client Collaboration Conduct interviews with clients and subject matter experts Translate insights into actionable content strategies Identify the stories and differentiators that make businesses stand out AI & Content Quality Utilize AI tools for research, ideation, drafting, and content development (we use Claude) Balance speed with quality, ensuring content remains accurate, original, and engaging Apply critical thinking and editorial judgment to elevate content beyond AI-generated outputs What You Bring 3-7 years of professional writing experience with a portfolio demonstrating versatility Strong understanding of positioning, messaging, and conversion-focused copywriting Experience interviewing clients or subject matter experts Hands-on experience using AI tools as part of your content workflow Working knowledge of SEO principles and digital content best practices Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Agency experience is highly preferred Experience with WordPress and social publishing tools is a plus What We Offer health, dental, and vision coverage paid parental leave 401(k) matching PTO company holidays support for education and professional development Great content starts with great storytelling.
